Stephen “Steve” Christopher Hall, 55

Stephen “Steve” Christopher Hall, age 55, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at his home in Attica, MI. Stephen was born July 30, 1970 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. He is the son of Roy and Molly (Swan) Hall.

Stephen grew up in multiple places in Ontario and Michigan before settling with his parents and brother, Tony, in Troy. He was a graduate of Troy Athens High School, Class of 1988, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in International Marketing from Wayne State University in 2001. He married Karen Vrsek of Attica, MI on September 27, 2003 in Imlay City, Michigan.

He was employed as a Senior Production Engineer and Sales Manager by Axalta Coating Systems in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Stephen enjoyed family vacations, spending time with his children and wife – especially at their children’s sports and school events, listening to music, and playing golf. He became a lifelong hockey fan once his children learned to skate. His wife liked to say he was the only Canadian that never learned to skate. Stephen was an excellent swimmer and always enjoyed spending a day at the beach or the pool. He was also a self-taught handyman and liked working on home improvement projects. Most of all, he was extremely proud of his children and was excited to see where the future would lead them. Stephen was also a friend to many and will be missed by all.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Karen (Vrsek) Hall and their children, Madison, Cory, and Alex Hall; his parents, Roy and Molly Hall of Lady Lake, Florida; his brother, Tony (Julie) Hall of Schaumburg, Illinois; his brothers-in-law, Frank Vrsek of Dryden, MI and Kevin (Shelly) Vrsek of Dexter, MI, and his nieces and nephew, Molly and Tucker Hall and Evelyn and Violet Vrsek.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.

A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 4:30 at the Lapeer Township Hall, 1500 Morris Rd in Lapeer. In lieu of flowers, Stephen’s family would like to ask for support of the United Cancer Alliance of Flint, https://www.ucalliance.org.
