Klink competes at Ford Field

CAPAC — Capac’s Ava Klink wrapped up her season last Friday at the Michigan High School Girls’ Wrestling Individual State Championships.

Ford Field, in Detroit, is where the tournament was contested.

Klink began action in the 155-pound weight class Friday against Ferndale’s Niyar Rines It was there Rines, the eventual third-place finisher, would prevail by pin with 2:49 elapsed.

The Capac grappler then went up against Allendale’s Adelyn Ashbay. That battle went down to the wire, with Ashbay advancing on the strength of a 4-0 victory.

Klink finishes with a 14-7 mark.
