Imlay City falls to Yale, 64-50

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City varsity girls’ basketball team absorbed a 64-50 loss to visiting Yale in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball meeting last Friday night.

With the decision, Imlay City slips to 9-9 and 6-6.

In Friday’s meeting, Yale jumped out to a 17-10 advantage after one quarter was done and led 40-19 at the half.

Imlay City then put together a 31-24 second half rally, only to drop a 64-50 verdict.

Alexis Bruyere paced Imlay City with 36 points. The Spartans also had Makenzie Bruyere (six points), Makayla Bruman (four) plus Montanna Eads and Roslyn Bruman (two each) connect.
