Appreciate the coverage of news story

Dear Editor,

Re: City rejects FOIA request; claims no emails found.

I find this current Imlay City news story to be highly interesting.

For background, on Dec. 31, as I was leaving Jalisco Mexican Restaurant in the early afternoon, I had a chance chit-chat with Imlay City Police Officer Kristen Carr.

I informally asked her if she can explain the public meeting criticism against interim Imlay City Police Chief Rushton that the former Command Officer for City of Warren Police Dept. brought to attention.

Officer Carr repeatedly said that she thought there was “a lot of fabrication” in the words and story told by the former Command Officer for the City of Warren Police Dept.

I find her opinion to be quite interesting, especially with my limited personal knowledge about the internal workings of the extremely close-knit Warren Police Dept.

There are rare occasions, if any, to hear about a former Warren police officer verbally critiquing another former police officer in such a public manner.

Appreciate the Tri-City Times coverage of this important local news story,
