Spartans get win at Frankenmuth
IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City wrestling team went 1-4, paving the way to a fifth-place place finish last Friday at the Deutschland Duals in Frankenmuth.
Imlay City started things off with a 52-22 loss to St. Clair. That was followed by a 51-24 win against Saginaw Heritage; a 52-21 setback to Frankenmuth; a 58-24 loss to North Branch; and a 60-23 setback to Freeland.
Caleb McLain (120) led Imlay City with a 4-0 mark that day.
James Johnson (126), Danny Rojas (138), Alex Pettke (190/215) and Brayden Cremeans (285) provided Imlay City with 4-1 records.
Brady Czapiewski posted the next best Imlay City mark, going 3-2 at 157 pounds.
Xavier Galeana (190) added a 2-2 record to Imlay City’s cause.
