DelCampo earns 300th career win

DRYDEN — Dryden Coach John DelCampo registered his 300th career varsity boys’ basketball win, accomplishing the feat with a 67-51 triumph against visiting Memphis Monday night.
It was the season opener for both combatants.
In Monday’s matchup, Dryden jumped out to a 11-7 advantage after one quarter and widened the gap to 32-22 at halftime.
When the action resumed, Dryden struck with a 20-15 third quarter edge. That left them holding a 52-37 advantage with 24 minutes gone.
Dryden then outscored Memphis 15-14 the rest of the way, preserving a 67-51 victory.
Luke Taylor (18), Jax Morley (12) and Nick Abromaitis (11) led Dryden with double digit point totals. The Cardinals also had Brady Schneider (nine), Tyler Roberts (eight), Hayden Blair (seven) and Jayden Stankevich (two) reach the scoring column.
