Capac council vice-president arrested on “Enticement of a Minor” charge
BREAKING NEWS: The Village of Capac village council is missing one of it’s members, following an incident that took place in the township on November 25.

According to Capac Police Chief Carlos Dealca, two law enforcement agencies responded to the Mussey Twp. hall around 1:30 p.m. and made contact with Joseph Herrington.
Herrington serves as vice-president of the Village Council and is also a member of the township fire department where he worked as the department’s training officer.
According to a statement from Chief Dealca, “On November 25, 2025, at approximately 1330 hours, the Capac Police Department responded to 550 W. Mill Street (Mussey Twp. Fire Department) to assist the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office with a warrant arrest.”
Chief Dealca went on to say in his statement, “Deputies made contact with the suspect, Joseph Herrington, who had an active warrant out of Denton County, Texas, for Enticement of a Minor.”
The Chief said Herrington was taken into custody at the fire hall without incident and was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, where he is currently being lodged pending further proceedings.
