Galeana, Barragan among best

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City placed two players on the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association Division 3 All-State boys’ soccer lineup which was announced recently.

Xavier Galeana, a senior forward, attained All-State first team status.

This fall he finished with 22 goals and 12 assists.

That left him with 81 goals and 38 assists over his four-year stint in Imlay City’s program.

Benino Barragan, a junior forward, made the All-State lineup as well. He secured a spot there as an honorable mention selection.

With their help, Imlay City won the Blue Water Area Conference title and were district champions. The Spartans finished the 2025 campaign with a 15-8-2 overall mark.
