Active shooter in Almont this morning – shooter caught

PRESS RELEASE FROM ALMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR INCIDENT OCCURRING ON NOVEMBER 5,2025

This morning at approximately 8:20 am, Officers were dispatched to a local business in the Township for an active shooter. Multiple agencies responded to the call where one individual was transported to a local hospital. The current condition of the victim is unknown. The known suspect fled the scene and was arrested by another responding agency that was assisting with the call. The suspect is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.

UPDATE – 30 year old male victim seriously injured, CPR was in progress. According to Lapeer County Dispatch.
