Spartans fall in BWAC showdown

**Imlay City’s Mia-Ann Grapentin and Roslyn Bruman look to block a shot in their team’s BWAC match showdown versus North Branch.**

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City (no. 5, Division 2) was defeated 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 by host North Branch (no. 3, Division 2) in a Blue Water Area Conference volleyball showdown on Tuesday, October 21.

With the decision, North Branch wraps up a pacesetting 7-0 BWAC campaign. Imlay City finishes 6-1, leaving them with a second-place showing.

Emma Keeping (14) and Makayla Bruman (seven) provided the highest Imlay City kill totals that evening. Mia-Ann Grapentin (four kills) and Makenzie Craven (one) supported their performances.

Keeping (11), Makayla Bruman (seven), Roslyn Bruman (eight) and Lyla Russell (three) registered Imlay City’s digs.

Craven (two) and Keeping (one) contributed Imlay City’s
blocks.

A group consisting of Makayla Bruman (15), Keeping (nine) and Russell (three) added Imlay City’s set assists.
