Dryden earns a top league finish
DRYDEN — The Dryden cross country squads obtained a first-place showing last Wednesday at the Big Thumb Conference Red/Blue Division League Meet.
Wagener County Park is where the action unfolded.
In the meet where the top three boys’ and girls’ runners from each school count toward the team total, Dryden won the meet with 27 points. They were followed by Kingston (29 points), Mayville (70), Deckerville (100), Peck (112) and Caseville (119).
Logan Romain, first, 17:34.61; led the Dryden boys that day. He was backed by Levi Fitchett, fifth, 18:32.79; and Brendan Peter, eighth, 19:01.91.
Cara Prusakiewicz, second, 20:02.26; paced the Dryden girls. Claire Wright, fifth, 21:06.8; and Ella Gustner, sixth, 22:03.04; supported her performance.
