Regular Meeting
September 10, 2025
Supervisor Downey called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance
Present: Downey (Supervisor), Standel (Clerk), Kegler (Trustee), and Nemecek (Trustee) Absent: Lewis (Treasurer)
Minutes: It was moved by Nemecek and supported by Kegler to approve the August meeting minutes with the addition of the words “24-47” to the motion to approve the Pond Ordinance (so Pond Ordinance 24-47). Motion carried.
Citizens Wishing to Address the Board: 2 citizens to address board.
Zoning Officer Report: report given on open files. Motion by Standel supported by Kegler to send blight issues at 5343 Burton Rd. to lawyer for court action. Motion passed. Motion by Downey supported by Nemecek to send Zoning Enforcer to 15103 Bryce for blight complaint. Motion passed
New Business: Resolution 25-03 – It was moved by Kegler and supported by Nemecek to approve annexation of 3283 Capac Rd. to Village of Capac. Roll Call vote: Aye: Nemecek, Kegler, Downey, Standel. Nays: none Motion passed. Resolution 25-04 – It was moved by Kegler and supported by Nemecek to approve the Local Road Funding for 2026 Roll Call vote: Ayes – Downey, Nemecek, Kegler, and Standel. Nays: none Motion passed. Resolution 25-05 – It was moved by Nemecek and supported by Kegler to approve the annexation of parcel 74-27-033-2004-010 to the Village of Capac. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Kegler, Standel, Downey, and Nemecek. Nays: none. Motion passed. It was moved by Nemecek and supported by Kegler to approve work orders for Sullivan Road and Petz Road. Motion passed. It was moved by Nemecek and supported by Downey to approve the purchase of 2 computer screens not to exceed $360. Motion passed
Building Department Report: Report given
Cemetery Report: working on tree issues
Clerk’s Report: It was moved by Nemecek and supported by Kegler to approve bills as presented (checks 980068-98093 Gen. & 9892-9918 Fire) with 2 additions to fire bills ($615 and $997.33) and 1 to General fund ($239.20). Motion carried 4/0
Fire Department Report: Report given.
Planning Commission Report: Report given.
Treasurer Report: It was moved by Standel supported by Nemecek to approve Treasurer Report as presented. Motion carried. 4/0
Adjournment: It was moved by Downey and supported by Nemecek to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Motion carried. Complete minutes are available online or in the township office.
