Spartans fifth, Raiders rank sixth

TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Almont girls’ cross country squads took fifth and sixth, respectively, at a Blue Water Area Conference Jamboree Meet on Tuesday, September 9.

Almont is where the action unfolded.

Armada won the meet with 42 points. They were followed by Yale (45 points), Cros-Lex (88), Algonac (107), Imlay City (120), Almont (127), Richmond (182) and North Branch (192).

Daniela DeLuca, 15th, 23:35.01; led Imlay City. Chen Leruitte, 23rd, 24:35.97; Paityn Edson, 25th, 24:55.96; Riley Schlaufman, 26th, 25:09.22; and Montana Eads, 32nd, 25:58.34; supported her performance.

Taylor Stanczak, sixth, 22:16.71; paced that day. She was backed by Laila Evola, eighth, 22:41.03; Charlotte Verougstraete, 31st, 25:48.62; Melina Campbell, 40th, 27:13.8; and Ella Tesluk, 50th, 29:14.68.
