Almont third at Jamboree

The Almont and Imlay City boys’ cross country teams are off and running at a BWAC Meet last week.

TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont and Imlay City boys’ cross country squads pulled up third and seventh, respectively, at a Blue Water Area Conference Jamboree Meet on Tuesday, September 9.

Almont is where the meet was contested.

Yale (33 points) paced the field assembled. They were followed by Algonac (69 points), Almont (84), Cros-Lex (112), North Branch (116), Armada (129) and Imlay City (160).

Richmond also participated, but did not field a complete squad.

Colton Gryzb, ninth; 18:39.29; paced Almont. He was backed by Adam SaintOnge, 14th, 18:53.48; Andrew SaintOnge, 18th, 19:04.14; Jamin Siewert, 26th, 20:00.06; and Benjamin Kline, 30th, 20:17.93.

Liam Bhatti, 34th, 20:31.22; led Imlay City. The Spartans also counted results from Mason Russell, 39th, 21:09.29; Will Cilk, 40th, 21:18.17; Jared Pratt, 42nd, 21:21.94; and Wade Murray, 50th, 21:51.92.
