Imlay City volleyball wins twice

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City picked up a pair of wins in varsity volleyball action at home last Wednesday.

The team started things off with a 25-12, 25-12, 16-14 victory against Cass City.

Imlay City then followed it up with a 25-14, 25-11, 15-6 triumph against Almont.

Makayla Bruman and Emma Keeping handled the bulk of Imlay City’s play-making responsibilities. They managed 30 and 19 set assists, respectively.

Keeping (24), Evelyn Robertson (12) and Mia Grapentin (seven) contributed the top Imlay City kill totals.

Lyla Russell (30), Keeping (14) and Bruman (11) paced Imlay City as far as digs were concerned.

Bruman and Grapentin (two each along with Grapentin (one) provided Imlay City’s blocks.

Keeping (six), Burman (three) and Robertson (one) added Imlay City’s ace serves.
