Almont claims Silver Bracket title
ALMONT — The Almont varsity volleyball team won the Silver Bracket title last Saturday at the Mount Morris Tournament.
Almont opened tournament action with an 18-25, 28-30 pool play loss to Dansville. That was followed by a 23-25, 23-25 setback to Mount Morris and a 17-25, 16-25 loss to Flint Powers.
Those outcomes netted Almont a Silver Bracket appearance.
It was there Almont obtained a 25-15, 28-26 win against Wayne Memorial. They then closed out their tournament run with a 25-19, 25-23 victory over Madison Heights Bishop Foley.
