Imlay City soccer registers fourth

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City boys’ soccer squad went 0-3 en route to a fourth-place showing last Saturday at the Spartan Cup it hosted.

Imlay City began tournament play with a 4-1 loss against Brandon.

Xavier Galeana supplied the lone Imlay City goal.

Max Galiana handled the goalkeeping responsibilities for Imlay City. He was credited with eight saves.

Imlay City squared off versus Frankenmuth next. That contest drew to a close with Frankenmuth ahead 5-0.

Max Galiana wound up with nine saves in his role of Imlay City’s goalkeeper.

Imlay City then wrapped up tournament action with a 5-2 setback to Berkley.

Xavier Galeana furnished the first Imlay City goal. It was assisted by Damian Leon.

Ethan Everhart provided the second Imlay City goal that game, capitalizing on an assist from Gio Franco.

Max Galiana handled the goalkeeping responsibilities for Imlay City again. He managed five saves.
