Capac trio garner a second place

The Armada Fastpitch Langtry 11U softball team took second in their league playoffs recently. CAPAC — The Armada Fastpitch Langtry 11U softball squad, which includes Capac’s Paige Demaray, Addie Ferrett, Sophia Ramirez Nunez and took second place in their league playoffs recently.

The team opened tournament action Monday, July 14 with a 6-5 win against Detroit Prospects Palo/Peiffer 11U.

They then went to 2-0, thanks to a 9-3 victory over Macomb Shock Diegel 12U on Tuesday, July 15.

Armada Fastpitch 11U Langtry then faced Detroit Prospects 12U for tournament honors next.

When the final scores were added up, Detroit Prospects 12u registered a 21-19 triumph.

Ella Zweng, Alvyia Garfat, Brooklyn Hunter, Raegan Langtry, Lilly LaFave and Emma Misener joined them on the winning team. They were coached by Tim Garfat, Jim Zweng, Chris Ferrett, Kurt Hunter and Brian Langtry.
