Bruman helps All-Star team to victory, 5-3

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City’s Chloe Bruman helped the Red team register a 5-3 triumph against the White squad in the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 15.

Davenport University is where the action unfolded.

Bruman provided the Red team with two singles in three at bats.

She saw action defensively in right field, left field and center field.

Alexis Hansen (Divine Child), Aubrey Jones (Gaylord), Kennedy Wangler (Gaylord), Kylee Hoebeke (Thornapple Kellogg), Katherine Modrzejewski (Divine Child), Kourtney Zarycki (Edwardsburg), Bayli Stewart (Parma Western), Ella Vinco (Riverview), Mackenzie Burns (Pinckney), Ashley Stafford (Richmond), Ella Showers (Coopersville), Karie Shuboy (Richmond), Jessica Nelson (Divine Child), Bre VerCautren and Addison Kopp (Flat Rock) joined Bruman on the winning side. The team was coached by Jean Bannister (Imlay City) and Regina Dunn (Divine Child).

Leila Daniels (Milan), Jenna Kowalski (Freeland), Grayson LaMarche (Escanaba), Mackenzie Cammenga (Unity Christian), Kylee Willea (Muskegon Oakridge), Sophia Helm (Linden), McKenzie Engebretson (Escanaba), Grace Zwetzig (Essexville Garber), Dani Anzaldua (Lansing Waverley), Katey Lamb (Escanaba), Molly Versluis (Unity Christian), Ava Golightly (Jackson Northwest), Natalie Donaldson (Dewitt), Gracie Willea (Muskegon Oakridge), Bella Duimstra (Unity Christian), Kianna Vork (Hamilton) Kayla Wildner (Linden) and Madeline McDonald (Freeland) suited up for the White squad. They were coached by Andy Fields (Escanaba) and Jon Herrera (Lansing Waverly).
