Capac 8U brings home a second

CAPAC — The Capac 8U baseball team put together a 3-2 record, good for second place at the Imlay City Spartan Classic All-Star Baseball Tournament this past weekend.

Capac opened tournament play with an 11-9 win against Imlay City in a game that was completed Saturday morning.

They then split their next two contests Saturday, pulling out an 11-1 victory over Cass City and dropping a 13-12 verdict to Elba.

Capac rhen secured a 9-8 triumph against Cass City Sunday, assuring themselves a championship game appearance.

When the final scores were added up, Elba had prevailed 10-1.

Carson Keiser, Blaise Pewinski, Jason Tyson, Lincoln Landon, Ryan King, Landon Bruce, Jacob Chetosky, Dylan Syrkowski, Spencer Smith and Marcella Gonzalez helped make Capac’s second-place finish possible. They were coached by Jason Tyson, Blaise Pewinski, Calvin Smith, Joe Chetosky and Jason Tyson Sr.
