Tesnow helps team to the Summer Slam title

CAPAC — The Armada Fastpitch 12U softball squad, which counts Capac’s Harper Tesnow among their ranks, won the USSSA Summer Slam Tournament in Canton recently.

They opened tournament play with a 6-0 loss to Legacy Fastpitch McCarthy 12U on Friday, June 27.

Later that day, they bounced back with a 12-0 victory over Intruders 12U.

Armada then went to 2-1 with a 10-4 triumph against Lasalle Athletics U13 Gold on Saturday, June 28.

The following day saw them add an 8-0 win over PKP Waves Fastpitch 12U, notch a 1-0 victory against Firecrackers Renne 12U and register as 9-6 triumph against Legacy Fastpitch McCarthy 12U to assure themselves of a first-place finish.

Tesnow finished the tournament 5-5 with four RBI and three walks.

With their tournament showing, Armada ends their season with a 45-12-2 mark.
