Webster on top squad

ALMONT — Finesse-Kolinski’s 18U softball team, which lists Almont’s Lauren Webster on its roster, earned a first-place finish at the Firestix College Exposure Tournament in Grand Blanc this past week.

The team started things off Thursday with a 5-2 loss to Michigan Bolts Gauthier 18U,

Later that day, they dropped a 6-3 verdict to Firestix Henige 18U.

Friday’s action saw Finesse-Kolinski slip to 0-4, following a 6-0 loss to GR Diamonds Alkema 18U and a 4-2 setback to Firecrackers-Kielman 18U.

Saturday’s play would see them bounce back with an 11-1 win against Michigan Chargers and a 10-0 victory over 231 Fusion Frank.

They then followed it up Sunday with a 5-4 triumph against Michigan Bolts-Carson 18U and a 6-4 win over Michigan Batbusters-Chriss 18U, assuring themselves of a first-place finish.
