Almont goes 1-1 in BWAC clashes

ALMONT — The Almont girls’ soccer team registered an 8-0 triumph against visiting league counterpart Yale last Wednesday.

Lola Battaglia (unassisted), Callie McCarthy (set up by Nora Yarbrough), McCarthy (assisted by Yarbrough), Battaglia (set up by Natalia Radisavljevic), Battaglia (unassisted), Battaglia (set up by Tara Tencza), Battaglia (unassisted) and Maria Griffiths (set up by Radisavljevic) supplied Almont’s goals.

Anna LaBroski got the win in net for Almont. She finished with three saves.

Two days prior to that, Almont returned from Armada with a 4-2 BWAC setback.

Battaglia (set up by Yarbrough) and Battaglia (assisted by Yarbrough) furnished Almont’s goals.

LaBroski drew the goalkeeping assignment for Almont that day. She was credited with seven saves.
