Imlay boys’ slip in track meet
IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City boys’ track team went 0-2 in Blue Water Area Conference action on Tuesday, April 22 in Yale.
Imlay City dropped a 79-58 verdict to North Branch that day.
Brett Lestage, 100 (11.72 seconds) and 200 (23.54 seconds) dashes; Ethan Everhart, 110-meter hurdles, 17.06 seconds; Isaac Sommer, 1600 run, 5:03.62; and Hudson Everhart, 3200-meter run, 11:24.87; led Imlay City with individual event firsts.
The Imlay City 400 (Enrique Cardenas, Alan Valdovinos, Ethan Everhart and Lestage), 800 (Ethan Everhart, Cardenas, Valdovinos and Lestage) and 3200 (Hudson Everhart, Liam Bhatti, Wade Murray and Sommer) relays also prevailed. They registered respective clockings of 44.66 seconds, 1:33.15 and 9:21.7 en route.
Imlay City also fell 94-41 to Yale that day.
Lestage (100 and 200-meter dashes) and Ethan Everhart (110-meter hurdles) supplied Imlay City individual event firsts.
Imlay City also received top finishes from their 400 and 800 relays of Ethan Everhart, Cardenas, Lestage and Valdovinos.
