Almont nets 5-3 win over Imlay City

TRI-CITY AREA — Almont netted a 5-3 win against host Imlay City in a Blue Water Area Conference girls’ tennis matchup last Wednesday.

In individual action, Sidni Brinker dropped a 2-6, 1-6 top flight verdict to Emma Keeping; Eva Rayl obtained a 7-5, 6-2 win against Alexa Lengemann; Veronica Luzinski fell by a 1-6, 2-6 third flight count to Wren Dennis; and Genesis Fisher claimed a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Winter Muxlow at fourth singles.

As far as doubles play was concerned, Gabriella Ujkic and Natalie Frederick dropped a 4-6, 3-6 top flight verdict to Addison Cameron and Sarah Lauwers; Rory Meeker and Valentina Long Rotella registered a 6-3, 6-1 triumph against Lyla Russell and McKenzie Chaundy; Jenelle Davidge and Candice Blandeau picked up a 6-4, 6-3 third flight win over Ayden Morauski and Daniela DeLuca; plus Norah Bishop and Madison Miodowski notched a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Laney Metter and Lauryn Donahue 6-2, 6-3.
