Almont is swept by rival Armada

ALMONT — The Almont varsity baseball team fell twice to host Armada in a Blue Water Area Conference doubleheader last Friday.

With the decisions, Almont now stands at 0-2 overall and as far as BWAC clashes are concerned.

In the opener, Armada claimed a 4-3 win against Almont.

Jason Lane and Colten Karbel led Almont with a pair of singles each. Blake Lane, Dalton Oliphant, Tyler Brown, Brock Murphy and Luke Winkler added a single each for the Raiders.

In the second game, Armada picked up an 8-2 victory over Almont.

Blake Lane paced Almont’s offensive attack with a triple. Raiders also received a single apiece courtesy of Oliphant and Murphy.
