Aldrich helps relay to a 21st place

Charlie Aldrich, a Capac grad, runs a leg on Goshen College’s 3200 relay this season.

CAPAC — Former Capac High School standout Charlie Aldrich competed for the Goshen men’s track team at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, February 27.

Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainsville, Florida is where the meet was contested.

It was there the team of Jordan Garlinger, Charlie Aldrich, Kevin Liddell and Bruno Kipsang posted a 3200-meter relay time of 7:51.8 to rank fifth in their heat and 21st overall.

Garlinger, a senior, started things off with a 1:54.7 split and Aldrich, a junior, followed with a 1:57.86 effort. Liddell, a senior, and Kipsang, a sophomore,added respective splits of 1:58.3 and 2:01.2 to the Maple Leafs’ cause.
