Almont wins regional bowling title
TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont boys’ bowling team (3,349) withstood the challenges of Cros-Lex (3,299), Armada (3,299), Yale (3,142). Richmond (2,944), Algonac (2,873), Clintondale (2,757), Imlay City (2,521), Marine City (2,258), South Lake (2,257) and Warren Lincoln (1,699) to win a Division 3 regional bowling title last Friday.
Strikers, in Armada, is where the action unfolded.
The top-two teams move on to the Division 3 state finals at Jax 60 Lanes in Jackson.
Cros-Lex earned the final spot with a 383-370 tiebreaker win against Armada.
