Almont girls drop game to Cros-Lex

ALMONT — Almont was outscored, 51-32, by visiting Cros-Lex in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball game on Tuesday, January 28.
With the final, Cros-Lex moves to 9-2 and 5-2. Almont slips to 1-10 and 0-8.
In Tuesday’s game, Almont spotted Cros-Lex a 12-5 advantage after one quarter was done and trailed 28-16 at the half.
When the action resumed, Almont bounced back with an 8-7 third quarter edge. That trimmed their deficit to 35-24.
Cros-Lex then outscored Almont 16-8 the rest of the way, assuring themselves of a 51-32 victory.
Madi Derk paced Almont with 13 points. She was backed by Rachael Johnson (six points), Noelle Bourdeau (five), Vivian Asaro (three), Natalia Radisavljevic and Eva Rayl (two each) along with Jenna Kline (one).
