Spartans roll to win over Algonac, 58-25

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City registered a 58-25 road triumph against Algonac in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball encounter last Thursday night.

With the outcome, Imlay City improves to 6-6 and 4-2.

In Thursday’s encounter, Imlay City opened up a 12-6 advantage after one quarter was done and widened the gap to 22-12 at the half.

Imlay City then outscored Algonac 36-13 the rest of the way, good for a 58-25 triumph at night’s end.

Alexis Bruyere (17), Alexa Bruyere (16) and Addison Cameron (15) led Imlay City with double digit point totals. They were backed by Lauryn Donahue and Savannah Douglas (four points each) along with Allison Shafer (two).
