Dryden trounces non-league foe

DRYDEN — Dryden picked up a 67-26 victory over Saginaw Arts and Sciences in a non-league boys’ basketball meeting it hosted last Friday night.
With the decision, Dryden raises its mark to 9-5 overall. Saginaw Arts and Sciences falls to 2-10 this season.
In Friday’s meeting, Dryden took a 21-12 advantage after one quarter was done.
Quarter two saw Dryden net 19 points and Saginaw Arts and Sciences hit for 14, good for a 40-26 lead at the half.
Dryden then outscored Saginaw Arts and Sciences 27-0 over the final 16 minutes of play, leaving with a 67-26 win to their credit.
Gianni Coscione (25 points) and Sonny Coscione (16) proved Dryden’s toughest players to stop that evening. The Cardinals also received points courtesy of Luke Taylor (nine), Brady Schneider (eight), David Insley (four), Owen Gall and Drew Raymond (two each) along with Rowan Handley (one).
