Cardinals drop an encounter at home
DRYDEN — Dryden wound up with a 43-31 loss to visiting Saginaw Arts and Sciences in a non-league girls’ basketball battle last Friday night.
With the decision, Saginaw Arts and Sciences moves to 9-2 overall. Dryden slips to 6-5 this season.
In Friday’s battle, Dryden spotted Saginaw Arts and Sciences a 10-9 edge after one quarter and trailed 20-16 at the half.
When the action resumed, Saginaw Arts and Sciences struck with a 14-4 third quarter advantage. That left them holding a 34-20 cushion with 24 minutes elapsed.
Dryden then put together an 11-9 fourth quarter rally, only to fall 43-31.
Keira Miller (13) plus Kierstyn Stankevich and Isabella Weier (nine apiece) supplied Dryden’s points.
