Andrea Kruse earns MHSFCA honor

ALMONT — Almont’s Andrea Kruse was recognized the 2024 Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Woman of the Year Award recipient recently.

The Fran Herrington Woman of the Year Award is presented in memory of the late wife of John Herrington (Farmington Hills Harrison). Fran was a tremendous part of the football program and school community who gave tirelessly of her time and energy. She helped in creating a successful football program in her community. This award is presented annually to honor those women who have contibuted their time, energy and expertise in promoting high school football in their community and the state of Michigan.

This marks the second straight year someone associated with the Almont football program has won the honor. Lindsay Leusby earned those accolades in 2023.
