Spartans fourth, Raiders sixth at girls’ BWAC meet

TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Almont girls’ cross country squads placed fourth and sixth, respectively, at the Blue Water Area Conference League Meet on Tuesday, October 15.

Goodells County Park is where the meet was contested.

Armada won the title with 42 points. They were followed by Yale and Cros-Lex (52 points each), Imlay City (95), Algonac (142) and Almont (144).

North Branch and Richmond also competed, but did not field complete squads.

Charlotte O’Brien, 10th, 21:50.7; led Imlay City. She was backed by Daniela DeLuca, 21st, 22:46.7; Kendal Donahue, 24th, 23:13.9; Lauryn Donahue, 26th, 23:19.7; and Paityn Edson, 30th, 23:49.2.

Taylor Stanczak, 12th, 21:56.4; paced Almont. The Raiders also counted results from Melina Campbell, 37th, 24:21.1; Carlie Johnson, 45th, 25:45; Charlotte Verougstraete, 53rd, 26:37; and Savanna Siewert, 54th, 26:49.4.
