Imlay City ends season at regional

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City girls’ golf squad concluded their season Monday at a Division 3 regional.

Heather Hills Golf Course is where the tournament was held.

Goodrich (367), Lutheran North (373) and Yale (411) occupied the top-three spots at day’s end.

They move on to the Division 3 state finals this Friday and Saturday at Bedford Valley Golf Course near Battle Creek.

Lake Fenton (427), Armada (429), Flint Powers (431), Warren Regina (433), Notre Dame Prep (436), Richmond (444), North Branch (460), Marysville (460) and Ortonville-Brandon held down places four through 12 at day’s end.

Imlay City and St. Clair also participated, but did not field complete squads.

Alexa Lengemann led Imlay City with a 101 over 18 holes. Lakynn Alessandrini (106) also represented the Spartans.
