Dryden Fall Festival Friday & Saturday

Action-packed two days for festival visitors

 

DRYDEN — The Dryden Fall Festival, Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28, is two days of hometown fun and entertainment.

Organizers of the event say much of the money raised goes to benefit worthy community projects in town and schools.

Friday, the Fall Festival starts at noon and continues until midnight. Family Fun Day runs from 4 p.m. until midnight. Much of the day can be spent wandering the enormous craft show with plenty of vendors.

There will be kids inflatables and food trucks. In the evening, live music featuring the Jan Krist Band will take center stage at 5:30 p.m. and then the Highway 23 band will take over from 9 p.m. until midnight. The beverage tent will be open until midnight.

A highlight of Friday takes place from 3:30 to 6:30 will be the “Lord of the Gourd” professional pumpkin carving exhibit.

Saturday, the Fall Festival opens at noon and continues till midnight. It will offer vendors and craft show items for those in a buying mood, kids games and a lineup of food vendors.

A car show will be a must see on Saturday during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and live music and beer tent in the evening. The day also features a 5K run at 8 a.m.

The popular Dryden parade is set to step off at 12 noon and a BBQ chicken dinner available from 2 p.m. until 7.

A cornhole tournament will swing into action at 5 p.m. and run until completed.

Closing out the festivities will be three bands performing from 2 p.m. until midnight and an outstanding fireworks display at dusk.

All events are being held at Cardinal Field on Atwell Road in Dryden.
