Dryden sweeps Parkway Christian

DRYDEN — Dryden registered a 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 triumph against host Parkway Christian in a non-league varsity volleyball battle on Monday, August 26.

With the decision, Dryden evens their mark at 1-1 this season.

Miakyla Fleming (18, including two aces) led Dryden as far as service points were concerned. Maddie Gammon (17, featuring seven aces), Izzy Weier (11, including one ace), Jalynn Delmotte and McKinley Gammon (seven, featuring two aces, each), Kiera Miller (seven, including an ace) and Kierstyn Stankevich (seven).

Weier handled the bulk of Dryden’s playmaking responsibilities, accumulating 16 set assists.

Mallory Barker (five) and Maddie Gammon (four) posted Dryden’s highest kill totals. They were given assistance in the hitting department by McKinley Gammon and Weier (three apiece), Stankevich (two) and Miller (one).

Miller (11), Maddie Gammon (10), Delmotte (three), Fleming (two) plus McKinley Gammon and Weier (one each) furnished Dryden’s digs.

Fleming (four), Barker (two) along with McKinley Gammon and Weier (one) added Dryden’s blocks.
