Koenig completes year with CMU

ALMONT — Grace Koenig, a 2023 graduate of Almont High School, wrapped up her debut season with the Central Michigan University softball team recently.

 

She provided CMU with a .263 hitting clip, thanks to 21 singles, seven doubles, one triple and one home run in 114 at bats.

Koenig generated 21 runs, drew 17 walks and collected 13 RBI as well.

The freshman also contributed 69 putouts and 43 assists while fielding at a .903 clip.

Koenig played in 41 games, starting 39 of those.

CMU ended the 2024 campaign with a 17-33 overall mark. That included a 13-12 Mid American Conference mark, good for fifth place.
