Mid Michigan Hitmen win tourney title
TRI-CITY AREA — The Mid Michigan Hitmen 14U baseball squad went 4-0 en route to a first-place finish at the Clio Tournament recently.
The team opened their successful tournament run with a 13-4 win against Michigan Mavericks on Saturday, July 6.
Later that day, they improved to 2-0 with a 15-5 victory over Mid Michigan Lumbermen.
Mid Michigan Hitmen followed it up Sunday, July 7 with a 16-0 triumph against Michigan Mavericks 14U and a 3-2 win over Michigan Mavericks 14, assuring themselves of a top tournament placing.
Aiden Furneaux (Dryden), Colten Karbel (Almont), Brock Murphy (Almont), Alex Skierski (Almont), Colin Campbell (Almont), Landon Swain (Almont), Ian Myers (Almont), Marek Droullard (Yale), Wyatt Cross (Davison), Liam McDunnah (Davison), Bryce Wood (Armada) and Brady Lang (Davison) made the team’s number one showing possible.
