Bruman, Forti are All-Region picks

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City softball team landed a pair of spots on their Division 2 All-Region lineup which was announced recently.

Chloe Bruman, a junior, was chosen for her play as an outfielder.

She paced Imlay City with a .551 hitting clip, thanks to 58 singles, six doubles and one home run in 118 at bats.

Bruman also led Imlay City as far as on-base percentage (.597) and runs scored were concerned, equaled a team-high for walks (14) and collected 13 RBI.

Lexa Forti, a senior, was recognized for her performance as an infielder.

She placed second among Imlay City player with a .450 hitting clip, registering 34 singles, nine doubles, four triples and two home runs in 109 at bats.

Forti also paced Imlay City as far as RBI (44) were concerned, shared the team walk lead (14), plus was second as far as on-base percentage (.515) and runs scored (45) were concerned.

She struck out just six teams en route to those numbers.
