Capac falls to Brown City on road

CAPAC — Capac’s varsity boys’ basketball fell by a 68-52 count to host Brown City in a Greater Thumb Conference East Division varsity boys’ basketball matchup last Friday night.

With the result, Brown City improves to 9-10 and 6-5. Capac slips to 10-9 and 6-6.

In Friday’s matchup, Capac and Brown City ended the first quarter with 13 points each.

The middle two quarters saw Brown City net 36 total points and Capac manage 22, leaving them ahead 49-35 with 24 minutes gone.

Brown City then outscored Capac 19-17 from that point on, closing out a 68-52 win.

Nolan Maday paced Capac with 19 points, including a trifecta. The Chiefs also had Brody Tesnow (nine points, featuring a pair of treys), Wyatt Hurley (seven), Joe Dalessandro and Alan Uribe-Arce (six, with a triple, each) and Austin Howard (five, including a trifecta) reach the scoring column.
