Davedowski nets 30 points in win

ALMONT — Chase Davedowski netted 30 points, including seven trifectas, to lead Almont to a 66-51 win against visiting Algonac in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball game last Thursday night.

With the decision, Almont moves to 9-3 and 4-1. Algonac slips to 0-12 and 0-5.

In Thursday’s game, Almont jumped out to a 22-14 advantage after one quarter was over with and increased their cushion to 41-24 at the half.

Almont then withstood a 27-25 second half rally, earning a 66-51 win at night’s end.

Cole Walton (11 points, featuring a trey) and Marko Radisavljevic (10, with a triple) provided Almont with double digit point totals as well. They were backed by Jason Lane (six points), Owen Rayl (three, including a trifecta) plus Cam Bourdeau, Jerry Schurig and Brandon Phillips (two apiece).
