Imlay City drops one to Cros-Lex

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City absorbed a 45-23 loss to visiting Cros-Lex in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball game last Friday night. With the decision, Imlay City falls to 3-4 and 1-2.

In Friday’s game, Imlay City spotted Cros-Lex a 15-7 advantage after one quarter had ended and trailed 23-19 at the halftime break.

When the action resumed, Cros-Lex struck with an 18-2 third quarter advantage. That pushed their cushion to 41-21 with 24 minutes gone.

Cros-Lex then outscored Imlay City 4-2 the rest of the way, good for a 45-23 win at night’s end.

Lexa Forti paced Imlay City’s scoring attack with 10 points. The Spartans also received points courtesy of Alexis Bruyere (six), Addison Cameron (three) along with Montanna Eads and Alexa Lengemann (two apiece).
