Imlay City grapplers go 5-0 to win Caro Tournament

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City wrestling team went 5-0 en route to a first-place showing Friday, December 22 at the Caro Henry Jaster/Phil Millerov Memorial Duals.
Imlay City opened with a 48-36 win against Escanaba. That was followed by a 60-21 victory over Carrollton; a 72-12 triumph against Oscoda; a 63-15 win over Caro; and a 43-30 victory against Millington.
A group consisting of Caleb McLain (106), Tanner Land (120), Christopher Galiana (126), Danny Rojas (132) Dominic D’Ambrosio (144) and Travis Dupont (150) led Imlay City with 5-0 marks that day.
For his performance, D’Ambrosio earned Most Valuable Wrestler of the Tournament accolades.
Conner Wildie (138) provided Imlay City with a 4-1 record.
Imlay City also received a 3-2 mark courtesy of Brady Redd (175/190).
