Almont breezes past Marlette, 61-28

ALMONT — Almont registered a 61-28 triumph against visiting Marlette in a non-league varsity boys’ basketball game last Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s game, Almont bolted out to a 19-4 advantage after one quarter had ended and increased their cushion to 44-14 at the halftime break.

When the action resumed, Almont picked up where it left off. Aided by a 12-6 third quarter edge, the Raiders went up 56-20 with 24 minutes gone.

Marlette then bounced back with a 9-5 fourth quarter advantage, only to drop a 61-28 verdict at night’s end.

Cam Bourdeau (11 points, including a pair of trifectas), Cole Walton (10, featuring a pair of treys) and Marko Radisavljevic (10, with a triple) proved Almont’s toughest players to contain. They were backed by Isaiah Bankston (eight points), Owen Rayl (seven, including a trifecta) plus Chase Davedowski and Manny Goldstein (five, featuring a trey, each)
