Almont falls to Lutheran North

ALMONT — The Almont varsity girls’ basketball squad dropped a 34-21 verdict to visiting non-league counterpart Lutheran North at home Monday night.

With the outcome, Almont slips to 1-2 overall.

In Monday’s clash, Almont jumped out to a 10-2 advantage after one quarter was over with.

The middle two quarters saw Lutheran North amass 17 total points and Almont hit for five, leaving them up 19-15 with 24 minutes gone.

Lutheran North then outscored Almont 15-6 from that point on, good for a 34-21 win when the final buzzer sounded.

Kendall Roszczewski led Almont with 11 points, including a pair of trifectas. The Raiders also received points courtesy of Jesse Kautz (four), Grace Koenig (three), Lydia LaCavera (two) and Lauren Webster (one).
