Imlay City falls to top-rated North Branch

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City dropped a 19-25, 11-25, 17-25 verdict to North Branch (rated first among Division 2 teams statewide) in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity volleyball meeting last Wednesday.

Natalie Stone led Imlay City with 17 digs. Lexa Forti and Makayla Bruman (10 digs each) Chloe Bruman (eight) and Emma Keeping (six) supported her performance.

Keeping accounted for both of Imlay City’s blocks.

Chloe Bruman and Keeping (five kills apiece) and Forti (four) provided Imlay City’s kills.

Keeping and Makayla Bruman took turns springing Imlay City’s offense into motion. They managed eight and seven assists, respectively.
