Dryden girls are Peck champs

DRYDEN — The Dryden girls’ track squad (144 points) outscored Mayville (139), New Life Christian Academy (41), Caseville (40), Peck (31), Carsonville-Port Sanilac (12) and Sandusky (three) to win the Peck Invitational last Friday.

Keira Miller, long jump, 12 feet 8 1/4 inches; Olivia Stickler, 100 (12.7 seconds) and 400 (1:06.9) dashes; plus Audrey Napolitano, 1600 (6:38.2) and 3200-meter (14:55) runs; led Dryden with individual event wins.

The Dryden 800 (Kierstyn Stankevich, Wolle, Miller and Stickler) and 1600 (Jalynn Delmotte, Wolle, Miller and Stickler) placed first as well. They were timed in 2:01.9 and 4:54.3, respectively.

Wolle, 200 dash, 29.7 seconds; Napolitano, 800-meter run, 3:00; and Lily Finnigan, 1600 (6:55.1) and 3200 (15:08.1) runs; supplied Dryden’s seconds.

Wolle, 100-meter dash, 13.8 seconds; Miller, 200 dash, 30.6 seconds; plus Ava DeVlaminck, 800 (3:24.5) and 1600-meter run (7:13.5); collected Dryden’s thirds.

DeVlaminck, shot put, 25 feet 2 1/2 inches; contributed the lone Dryden fourth.

Napolitano, 400 dash, 1:22.7; gave Dryden a sixth.

Finnigan, shot put, 23 feet 9 inches; secured a seventh for Dryden.

Delmotte, 400-meter dash, 1:28; added an eighth to Dryden’s cause.
