Almont soccer slips by Imlay City
TRI-CITY AREA — Almont pulled out a 2-1 victory over host Imlay City in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ soccer battle last Friday.
In Friday’s battle, Almont spotted Imlay City a 1-0 halftime edge.
Almont then outscored Imlay City 2-0 from that point on, good for a 2-1 triumph.
Jesse Kautz (unassisted) and McKenna Castillo (assisted by Kautz) supplied Almont’s goals.
Lindsey Wilson got the win in net for Almont.
Jessica Peters (set up for Mary Kaminski) furnished Imlay City’s goal.
Ashley Hickmott handled the goalkeeping chores for Imlay City. Hickmott was credited with 11 saves.
