Almont gets a pair of victories over Rochester

ALMONT — Almont swept visiting Rochester, 11-0 and 23-2, in a non-league varsity softball doubleheader it hosted last Wednesday.

With the outcome, Almont improves to 2-0 this season.

Myah McLean got the game one pitching win for Almont She allowed three hits over five innings and struck out five.

Abby Geml was Almont’s pitcher of record during game two. She gave up three hits, while striking out two over three innings.

Grace Koenig (five for six), Devin Johnston (five for six, including a double and three-run homer), Lydia Lacavera (four for five, including a triple), Brooklyn Bunch (four for six), Izzy Theisen (three for four), Elly Schapman (three for five, including a double and a triple), Grace Johnson (three for six), Kendall Roszczewski (a triple) plus Tara Tencza and Geml (a single each) furnished Almont’s hits that day.
